The Cuban leader Fidel Castro, a revolutionary Che Gevara, politicians Winston Churchill and Bill Clinton, writers Somerset Maugham and Mark Twain, the actor and the political figure Arnold Schwarzenegger – these names are well-known and these figures are best known to the world for their political, social, literary and other achievements. Moreover, the abovementioned people highly esteem cigar smoking and, thus, they come as people who own the greatest number of tools and accessories so requisite for this leisurely process and among others there are cigar lighters.
In the light of a variety and availability of glass items, glass ware is still appreciated by plenty people, especially when it comes to cut glass. The cut glass produces a long, lingering and musical tune when you put your finger at the cut-glass edge. So, in Japan the craftsmen make unique musical instruments. A crystal violin, completely transparent, is estimated for fifty thousand USD. Crystal glass tableware is not so much expensive though it is able to produce the charming, unique and so brittle music providing it is properly cared.
Wealthy persons are mostly known for their fortune only. However, despite they make billions, these people possess some personal features that attract people when estimating them. While Warren shovels up money, he has to do with quite conflicting image he created: he is known to be the proved miser and at the same time he privately donates huge amounts for charity purposes.
Any designer would say that the basic component in an interior is the material. Namely it creates beauty and aesthetics. It makes the interior look warm and cozy or, on contrary, strange, cold and dull. Scrappy rugs that once were our interest (lines in stores, special coupons, etc.), are now out of fashion. A rug placed on wall is a sign of bad taste now.
Pile coverings instead of rugs are now used to cover floors. But there
must be something in its place. So what is now replacing them? First,
they are the decorative scrappy blankets that have their origin from
ancient Indian art. However, they have been popular worldwide for a
long time. The "soft paintings" sewed with a variety of multi-colored
pieces have been there in our villages for a long time.
A "rustic
interior" is a real trend. Such covers were once used for bedding, but
they have beeb used as original wall decorations for a long time now.
They are sewed from casual and simple pieces of cloth (staple, satin,
calico) and skilfully selected in an accurate order with a certain
colour rhythm. They are perceived as real colour pictures. If there is
a desire and imagination, then do the sewing yourself (it is easy!). Do
not rely on specialists. The covers are usually sold in art salons and
produced in many places since they are fashionable. Nevertheless,
craftsmen especially from Uglich Art Center who has a lot of experience
in this kind of art, are recommended. Local products are highly
colorful and unique.
Another type of a wall decoration is the coarse
sackcloth. It also has a "rustic style"! There is a lively drawing on
top of it. Such pieces of sackcloth that are decorated with barely
visible lines of the future ornament are sold in Western shops.
African, South American and Japanese motifs are usually applied. They
are sewed with a big needle and thick thread of various colors. Just
sit and embroider. But for the lazy ones (skill-then, here it is
trivial), finished products are being sold with exotic flowers, birds
and plants.
What has Shalyapin got to do with it?
Nevertheless, windows
are still the main woven decoration of an apartment while curtains are
their traditional decoration. It is just that a special significance is
being attached to curtains. Let's just say we have come into the
fashion of multilayered curtain tulles again, door curtains and
shutters. It is, of course, an art to make an original composition from
all of these items. Here is tulle. There has been recently a great
variety of this material from Arab countries. They are decorated with
gold, ornament and images of birds and beasts. "Shalyapin" wallpaper
with large and bright drawings remind us of something we had before in
fashion. For what reason was the great artist offended? It seems the
lack of taste is not its feature. Do not be tempted with the
brightness! A drawing on tulle should be barely noticeable. It is even
better for the small or large "fishing" net to do without them and
nothing else.
Variety: a decoration consisting of a set of individual
silky laces. It looks quite impressive and at the same time rigorous.
Why should tulle be ascetic? It should because the main color blow
falls on the door curtains. They are actually the main color spot in
the room. Door curtains can be made from any heavy material such as
moiré, velvet, thick cotton and tapestry. Such material is packed in
folds somewhere at the windowsill level using thick woven cable that
has brushes and it looks very spectacular. It is usually decorated with
fringe at the bottom.
As a tribute to old times the Third layer (or
fourth if we consider the jalousie) is a pelmet: upper, decorative part
of door curtains, a tribute to retro, old memory of the ancient English
fashion during the Elizabethan era. Pelmet can be rectangular (but then
folds need to be skillfully done on it "harmonically") or a figure cut
out on the bottom in the form of "arches", rhythmically repeating and
alternating window shutters. The edge of pelmet is sheathed with braid
that is selected according to the tone of the curtain.
Fringe is by the
way unsuitable here. It would make the overall outfit of windows too
heavy and also, it would obstruct light. This happens in this way: a
beautiful door curtain is chosen, and its drawing and general tone is
spectacular. Moreover, it matches harmoniously with the overall
interior colors. However, the material is too light and it does not
look that beautiful. Don't worry! Door curtain can be either done on a
pad or folded several times. Yes, fringe would make it heavier. There
is a method presently used in some shower curtains: at the edge of the
curtain, a thick lead wire is "concealed", which makes it heavier and
stronger. The remaining "woven" elements can be used as pile cover for
ottoman, decorated covers that are spread on chairs, pillows-cushion
and much more. The interior material is always beautiful and pleasant.
Lingerie for women was just the plain underwear until the 20th century when it became the mean self-expression, as the subject of esthetic admiration. A piece of lingerie seen in between the women wear looked quite shocking to be shame and no one thought of designing luxury items based on lingerie, leaving alone works of art. Today every woman dreams of having a pair, or even more, of luxury and high quality lingerie to associate with sexuality, sensibility and attraction with male.
Today the knitwear is presented in so many styles and
it is so popular that no single autumn and spring collections can do without
hosiery. Knit
women's coats are offered in classic, sporty, romantic, vintage, casual and
ethnic styles. The demand for knit coats
grows in line with the more increasing range of color and texture of woolen
yarn as merino wool, angora, alpaca, Kashmir. Globally known brands launch knit
coats for women in their latest collections and most celebrities today appear
wearing knitwear for many occasions and that's hard to picture that some time
back it was something different.
First established in 1860, Chopard is one of the reputed watch and jewelry houses producing incredibly beautiful, fascinating jewelry items and watches of dream. The house also launched a number of celebrated fragrances as Casmir, Wish, Madness and Infiniment. Despite the long and solid history of the brand, it appeared only recently in the market of fragrances with the first fragrance Chopard launched only in 1992. Six years later, in 1996, the Chopard House presented its Mira-Bai, the fragrance which is still in favor among women keen on oriental scents. Mira-Bai shows no intentions to compete with such a fashion-setter in the sphere of oriental compositions as Guerlain Shalimar, though the fragrance by Chopard takes its niche among the classic perfumes in the market of oriental perfume.
Perfume launched y the Japanese brands or the one inspired by the Japanese culture is something so special in the international market of perfume. Unlike the other fragrances produced in bulk, such perfume with the traces of Japanese inspiration and life surely exert attention and this is reasonable: it is not only the perfume to market and ear money but the whole philosophy, covert but absolute. So, most perfume launched by the famous Japanese culture followers take their niches in the global market, like Kenzo and Issey Miyake. Issey Miyake launched the genially iconic fragrance of the 90s with such a simple and unpretentious name as Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey.
