universe is none but Bernard Arnault. He has got familiarity around the world
as a business tycoon of French holding the chief position of two big companies -
Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior. Besides, Arnault has association
with more than seven different industries and nine organizations where he works
as a board member of those companies.
Person's personal life
If anybody wants to find the reasons why Mr.
Arnault is familiar, will found the first and foremost answer that he became
the World's 17th richest man in 2005. The French business tycoon was born in
1949 in Roubaix, France. Arnault in fact comes from such a family that has a
deep association with business and industry. His father Jean Arnault was very
familiar to be an industrialist who was the owner of big industry
Ferret-Savinel. Though Arnault is the citizen of France, he has different
residence in different cities of France, Russia and New York. Nevertheless, he
lives at New Rochelle in the city of New York.
The world billionaire has five more
children. His eldest daughter Delphine Arnault aged 30 is the board member of
LVMH while another child is involved with management section of the company.
Passion for business
Bernard Arnault studied in Maxence Van Der
Meersch high school and completed graduation degree with engineering from the
Ecole Polytechnique de Paris in 1971. After completing academic study Arnault
started business with his father's company and tried to flourish the business
spectrum. Having a great determination in establishing business farm, Arnault
finally brought success in this field setting up LVMH that enabled him to be
familiar globally. Since founding the LVMH, Arnault has led the company by his
ability, savvy marketing policy, tight control regarding product selling,
acquisitions and courageous turning it into a biggest as well as opulence one.
The France based company LVMH, founded in
1854, is well known for designing, manufacturing, and selling of luxury items
worldwide. Products such as fashion and leather goods, wines and spirits,
cosmetics and perfumes, jewelry and watches are included in its manufacturing
line that are sold in more than 2000 stores worldwide. At least 50 more distinguished
brands are running their business under the control of Christian Dior and LVMH Company
headed by Bernard Arnault. The Vuitton and Dior have become exceedingly
money-making global businesses in recent times.
Now Arnault holds the position of Chairman
of LVMH and the Christian Dior SA. According to a report conducted by Forbes
magazine in March, 2007, the businessman Arnault possesses more than 26 billion
US dollar that made him one of the richest people around the globe and France
as well. Simultaneously, Time Magazine enlisted 100 most influential persons
across the world in 2007 where the name of business tycoon Arnault was
enlisted.
Determination is a factor indeed
With a view to buying the Christian Dior, Arnault
started his business just having the amount of $15 million in 1985 from his
family. After that he took some strong initiative to establish his business and
could bring success installing world's biggest lavish goods empire named LVMH
Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton. This big brand included some other giants like Dom
Pérignon, Fendi, Groupe Arnault while its fame has spread out quickly in India,
China, Russia.
Expansion of business
With a joint collaboration of his friend
Albert Frere, Arnault launched an investment fund in 2006. A gorgeous four star
hotel titled Le Cheval Blanc that is situated in ski resort Courcheval, France,
opened in December, 2006 where Arnault sometimes spends the enjoyment moment
like New Year's Eve.
New ideas, innovations, creativity as well
as new things are always the most important matters to Bernard Arnault. His
vision and mission always goes with fantastic designs and projects that added
an extra value to his profession. Recently LVMH appointed Frank Gehry for
designing a private museum in the capital of France that is valued $ 127
million.
Interest in art and music
In spite of being a business magnate,
Arnault holds some special interest in music and art collection. It is said
that he can play piano very well. However, his wife Hélène Mercier is a pianist
in fact. Feeling love in art, he established a Louis Vuitton foundation for
modern art that is supposed to open in year of 2010 at Jardin d'acclimatation.

Sometimes Arnault's name is spoken out
because of his personal association with some high-ups like presidents of
France and the United Kingdom. He witnessed the wedding ceremony of current
president of Nicolas Sarkozy to Cécilia Ciganer-Albéniz. Tony Blair, former
president of England, was criticized for having favors from Bernard Arnault for
his daughter Kathryn Blair during the year of her study in 2006 and 2007.
