While the description of a famous Indian
actress Kajol can get very flashy - talented, effervescent, charming, beloved -
one thing you cannot say about the actress is that she's ordinary or typical.
To be honest, it seems that for her whole life she has been breaking the secret
rules of the Bollywood. The successor of Rekha, Hema Malini, Shridevi and
Madhuri Dikshit, Kajol could not be considered as a follower of her predecessors;
she broke every Indian movie stereotype possible and still became a queen of
the Indian movies industry.
Stereotype No. 1: a successful Indian
actress first of all should be beautiful and glamorous
Glamorous... Kajol cannot stand the word. The
most hated thing she has in her life is to be seen as a flashy dressed up
glamorous doll. Whilst every other Indian actress was hoping to get a role of a
beautiful queen or a charming princess, Kajol was always more interested in her
role's character and personality as well as her inner world. The role in her
first hit-movie «Playing with the Death» was just what she wished for. The girl
Kajol impersonated is acting very bravely in the search of her sister's
murderer. «Playing with the Death» was the most successful movie in the
box-office for 1993 and has also acquainted Kajol with the friend for the rest
of her life, Shakrukh Khan with who she had played her best parts. One of the
parts include the part in the «The Princess That Didn't Get Kidnapped» (1995),
an outstanding Bollywood movie that was in the Indian cinemas for 650 weeks
straight. Such a success, it seems, could never get beaten but in three years
time Kajol and Shakrukh Khan managed to do so and with that in three years the
two trembled India. Karan Johar's debut film «Everything Happens in This Life»
about the real friendship growing into real love has gathered every award
possible and finally got its place at the stand of the national love and
adoration. In the movie every mother had only two names to call their babies
with. If it was a boy, then the name would be Rahul and a girl would always be
named Anjali. The part of an awkward, charmless and ill-favored girl Anjali was
filled with such sincerity and earnestness by Kajol that until today this part
is like Kajol's second character.
Stereotype No. 2: the Main Bad Guy in an
Indian Movie is Always a Male
In the year 1997 at the Indian Oscar Award
Ceremony «FilmFare» a unprecedented event occurred where at the first time in
history the award for the bad guy (the award that is given out at the Indian
Oscar Ceremony only) was given to the actress as opposed to be always given out
to male actors. In the evil characters of Bollywood exhibition, among the likes
of Mugambo, Gabbar, Singh, Shakal and more, a place was reserved for Isha Divan
from «The Hidden Truth» magnificently played by Kajol. This was her way of
stating that she indeed can play anyone and any character possible. This was
also a way of stating that Kajol could break box-office without her mentor
Shakrukh Khan.
Stereotype No. 3: Career is the Most
Important Thing for a Nice Actress
Throughout her career in Bollywood, Kajol
has established herself as one of the most demanded actress of Bollywood. A lot
of plots for films were created directly for Kajol. However in 2001 after the
super-successful «Both in Grief and Joy» directed by Karan Johar which helped
Kajol receive yet another Filmfare's Oscar, Kajol announced that she was
leaving the movie industry. There wasn't a single actress who could leave the
industry at the prime of her career but Kajol had a reasonable excuse this time
- she was awaiting a child from her beloved husband. Ajay Devgan and Kajol met
one another in 1995 at the shooting of the «Family and Justice» and they first
simply became friends. But later the friendship became something bigger and
eventually became love. In the year 1999 Ajay proposed to Kajol. On February 24th
the two bound their two lives together at a modest wedding ceremony in a small
company of family and closest friends. After that Kajol continued to star in
numerous movies but after she passed the pregnancy test and it was positive,
she had made a decision to give up work for family and maternity. She even
declined the offer from Shakrukh Khan to star in the new movie «With the Paths
of Love» even though she was ready to sign the contract whenever before taking
the test. Kajol has always stated that family was more important than job to
her and that she wouldn't hesitate to leave the peak she climbed up so hard for
her child and one can see that those were not simply words: Kajol affirmed the
words with action. Eventually Kajol gave birth to her child. It was a girl who
the parents called Nisa and it was long after that Kajol has dedicated herself
to the family fully.
Stereotype No. 4: Out of Sight - Out of
Mind
There are just so many actresses that are
afraid to get married before 30 to stay in shape and in the light of the
projectors that are scared that the family would destroy their career. Those
women have such examples of Dimpl Kampadia and Madhuri Dikshit in front of
their eyes, the icons of the Bollywood who never could return to the screens
after being carried away with the family. Their spots were later taken by
others. Even though Kajol had promised to make a comeback has good chances to
become the same forgotten actress whose comeback is simply never to occur. She
didn't have a role in movies for the last five years before 2006 when the «Blind
Love» directed by Kunala Kohli was released and all of the critique and doubts
were wiped away. The movie scored top in the Bollywood's box-office and Kajol
received a Filmfare award for the part of the blind girl. In the ceremony she
came first amongst the likes of Rani Mukerji and Aishwarya Rai.
Thanks to the triumphal comeback Kajol has
restored the place she had once been in immediately. The best directors India
could offer are now in queues to get Kajol to star in their movies. Well Kajol
didn't rush into the movie industry and the acting just yet, since family still
stayed a priority for the young mother. This is maybe why her next movie was a
family film by all means possible. В U, Me Aur Hum - the movie she
starred in with her husband was directed by Ajay himself. The movie wasn't as
successful financially but Kajol's part of a girl with the Alzheimer's decease
was greeted warmly by the critics and Kajol might want to move to the front of
the queue for the awards of this year's Filmfare's Oscars.
Right now Kajol is preparing herself for
the shooting of a movie directed by her close friend Karan Johar called «My
Name is Khan» where her lifelong friend Shakrukh Khan would also star. Kajol
didn't accept the offer for quite a while so the gossips about Kajol's husband
being jealous and not wanting his wife to be in the same movie with Shakrukh
Khan again started to flow around but Kajol explained the delay by the fact
that it took her long time to read the plot. Finally she accepted and signed
the contract. The fans just cannot wait for the comeback of the brightest
couple of the Bollywood which success can only be beaten by themselves.
Lingerie for women was just the plain underwear until the 20th century when it became the mean self-expression, as the subject of esthetic admiration. A piece of lingerie seen in between the women wear looked quite shocking to be shame and no one thought of designing luxury items based on lingerie, leaving alone works of art. Today every woman dreams of having a pair, or even more, of luxury and high quality lingerie to associate with sexuality, sensibility and attraction with male.
Today the knitwear is presented in so many styles and
it is so popular that no single autumn and spring collections can do without
hosiery. Knit
women's coats are offered in classic, sporty, romantic, vintage, casual and
ethnic styles. The demand for knit coats
grows in line with the more increasing range of color and texture of woolen
yarn as merino wool, angora, alpaca, Kashmir. Globally known brands launch knit
coats for women in their latest collections and most celebrities today appear
wearing knitwear for many occasions and that's hard to picture that some time
back it was something different.
First established in 1860, Chopard is one of the reputed watch and jewelry houses producing incredibly beautiful, fascinating jewelry items and watches of dream. The house also launched a number of celebrated fragrances as Casmir, Wish, Madness and Infiniment. Despite the long and solid history of the brand, it appeared only recently in the market of fragrances with the first fragrance Chopard launched only in 1992. Six years later, in 1996, the Chopard House presented its Mira-Bai, the fragrance which is still in favor among women keen on oriental scents. Mira-Bai shows no intentions to compete with such a fashion-setter in the sphere of oriental compositions as Guerlain Shalimar, though the fragrance by Chopard takes its niche among the classic perfumes in the market of oriental perfume.
Perfume launched y the Japanese brands or the one inspired by the Japanese culture is something so special in the international market of perfume. Unlike the other fragrances produced in bulk, such perfume with the traces of Japanese inspiration and life surely exert attention and this is reasonable: it is not only the perfume to market and ear money but the whole philosophy, covert but absolute. So, most perfume launched by the famous Japanese culture followers take their niches in the global market, like Kenzo and Issey Miyake. Issey Miyake launched the genially iconic fragrance of the 90s with such a simple and unpretentious name as Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey.
