 Abraham-Louis Perrelet put the beginning of the Perrelet
history when he was born in January 1729. He possessed the extraordinary skills
in watch making, thus he devoted his life to this sphere. He contributed a lot in
the creation of rewinding watches resulted in developing of automated winding
system. And till now this non-stop mechanism is still used that proved to work
forever.
Being the grandson of the eminent Abraham-Louis
Perrelet, Louis-Frédéric was lucky to live up first years of development under
the benevolent eyes of his grand-father in Le Locle. When an adult, he changed
his place of living for Paris
which was far attractive to him. In 1815 he intended to create the astronomic
watches that was shown to a wide public only at the Universal Exhibition. Soon
after he was allowed to make watches for the royal families in France,
no less than three kings, due to his gift to create unique watches. In 1827 he proposes
his chronograph split-second mechanism for the patent and receives it the only following
year. All for his merits he was conferred Knight of the Legion of Honors in
1834, with 4 golden medals.
The designers and masters of the company developed the
Perrelet Double Motor, the principal model in the watch making sphere in 1995.
The model has a single rotor on the dial side connected and well-synchronized
with the second rotor from the below of the mechanism.
The Retrograde Second with Double Parallel Rotor is
made and manufactured in 2005
in the limited edition along with Paul Gerber, a
legendary professional watchmaker from Zürich.
In 2006 Perrelet launches a new line of watches for
ladies named Grand Central Moonphase. The watches were unique for the time with
original development, P-1030 caliber, being the top of the technology for that
time.
As well as other watch making companies, PERRELET yielded
the state and demands of the market and launched the sporty titanium carbon
version of Regulateur Retrograde. The model was good, and the sports motif and
development made it even genius. The only thing to mention is that the
regulator with the retrograde function is a unique and rarity solution, and
thus, the various designer solutions of the company will meet the tastes of
various customers.
The followers of Abraham-Louis Perrelet varied the classic
assortment of watches creating new models without the second hand but with the Retrograde
hour Display reading time and a calendar. Р-221 caliber developed at the Perrelet factory in Valtee de Joux is
equipped with the automatic winding module. It has never been manufactured and therefore,
the Company patented the exclusive model at once. The unusual and extraordinary
watches are manufactured in steel cases and pink gold.
The collection for women was presented a bit later in
the year 2008 called DIAMOND FLOWER. Perrelet tenderly cared of ladies
perceiving them as the delicate and fine creatures. The women lines looked as
jewelry rather than watches. The exclusiveness and accurate models by Perrelet
are surely elegant and solid to be proud to possess them.
