The whole hotel is a challenge: all the
things you can see here are the best, the brightest and the most expensive. «Le
Bellechasse» is the desire to know the best art of life, and each tiny detail
of decorations makes it clear: 34 rooms, which are absolutely soundproof, are
equipped with wi-fi, huge planar screens built in the walls, and the walls
themselves - having beautiful bright coloring. High-tech equipment is wrapped
into brocade, velvet, taffeta and snakeskin. This style is a cocktail of
grotesque and humor, luxury and kitsch, which are unacceptable for minimalists
and realtors.
Your dreams will become real, and your
phantasmas will acquire new fantastic forms. And be sure: you will have no
chance to get bored!
In «Hôtel du 7e Art» you immediately get to
the party, which is incredibly bright and strange. You suddenly find yourself
taking part in some event of retro-style, where the main tendency is kitsch.
Cinematography is the seventh art. «Hôtel
du 7e Art» is the temple of this art, where you don't have to be a movie-fan to
be able to evaluate brilliance and splendor of the old Hollywood. Even the logo
of the hotel resembles the golden age of the world cinematography. The whole
style of this strange place is a tribute to those times, when you could see
real movie-stars on the screen, when the cinematography itself was something
more than it is now... Something larger than life. Everything in «Hôtel du 7e Art» is filled
with memories: foyer and bar are decorated with statues and placards of
celebrities - actors, actresses and even cartoon characters.
And you don't have to be a real movie-fan
to enjoy this place. In any case you will feel the endless drive of «Hôtel du
7e Art». If you still feel that there is not enough magic, go to the top-floor
and find the room number 42. It's rather hard to get there because there is no
lift in this hotel, but you will be greatly rewarded for your efforts. From
this room you can see absolutely wonderful landscape - a magic panorama of
Paris. You can hardly find any other place in the whole world, where you can
enjoy sunset more than here!
Having entered one of the rooms of Hotel Saint Merry, you
will feel the desire to press your hands one against the other and start
praying. And no wonder: the atmosphere of the hotel is very likable; the
religion just fills the air around you. The thing is that the building next
door is St.Mary's Church and all entourage of this strange place creates the
feeling of veneration.
Furnishings of the hotel (patterns on the
wood, pulpits) as if persuade you to talk in wishper. Hotel Saint Merry is an accomplished gothic
fantasy, where all 12 rooms are lovely filled with the furniture of the
authentic period. Even the carpers here have church patterns and stone archways
of Hotel Saint Merry
make you feel that you're sleeping on God's lap.
Be prepared if you come to the third floor:
the presidential suite of rooms situated there, under the roof, will take your
breath away! These rooms are absolutely perfect for romanticists and are free
from modern equipment, which could spoil your privacy. Thanks God, there are
porters who can help you carry your luggage.
