approximately 90% information through vision. A garden is the symphony of images
and pictures. We only observe the general look of plants - form, texture and

express the significance of color affect on the life of people. Subconsciousness
of every person contains an associated chain incidental to color. As a result
people try to avoid colors that irritate, cause feeling of discomfort or and
anxiety instinctively, in the back of mind. And one always tends to color that
is pleasant to eyes.
You can
visually extend or narrow the space in the garden with the help of color, and
create the illusion of perspective. If particular chord is used to match the
garden you will get the illusion that even in the hottest summer day it is cool
in the garden and this is due to the color gamma. You take another chord - and in
autumn gloomy day your garden will look warmed with sun rays, as warm and happy
place.
The rules
are simple: warm colors create the effect of temperature rise, and cold colors
make the place colder. Blue color is associated with freshness and coolness of
water, while red color you compare with heat of flame. Dark and cold colors hold
the things away, make them smaller. Hot colors make things bigger and make them
closer. However, there are nuances one should know. For instance, yellow, red
and orange colors are warm colors. However, visually they make things extended
when yellow and yellow-green color is added, and if you use red and orange
color - you make things narrower.
When
choosing a color for your garden you should bear in mind that children prefer
clear and clean colors. The colors they like include red, blue and yellow. By time
color preferences move to colder tones.

lightning and changes within a day. Morning is the time of the greatest intensively
of the color, and bright sunlight of the summer day can make pastel shades fad,
but it intensifies hot red and orange colors; the evening light makes colors
softer, yet the summer half-light marks the white and pastel shades that start
shine.
You should
bear in mind that color in the landscape design is not only the color of plants.
This is the color of buildings, decoration elements of the garden, and all
things that makes the single garden picture. And when choosing flowers that will
enjoy, you have to consider whether they match and harmonize with the cozy
garden bench next to the flower-bed.
If you are
not sure in the color gamma chosen, do not rush and plant flowers or paint the
bench. You'd better paint pieces of cardboard paper and try the color gamma you
want with the help of them. Landscape design is the work of art, and it will be
pity if the harmony is lost only because of mismatched flowers.
