Sitting Room Furniture

A sitting-room is a place which is mainly decorated and designed to meet guests. This is the place where people sit and spend the time discussing over something. The dining room is for the loud parties and feasts. The meal is taken in the dining room and guests – in the sitting room, to be stated by one of classic writers. When you can boast with the apartments of eight rooms there, this is a perfect base to follow this principle providing you have a small family. The modern flats are rather smaller, unfortunately, and the place is used for many purposes then.

Niello – Ancient Jewelry Traditions

When passing by the windows of the jewelry shop, we stop to stare at those silver items with the ornament, whether intentionally or not. The frozen ornaments are encircled with the black paint in thinnest line against the silver glass. The lock of niello is fancifully twisted to admire. The Niello technique, nowadays almost forgotten, is one of the oldest ornamenting techniques in the world. The jewelry from niello perfectly shade a gentle woman skin and those made for men emphasize the status and individual style of wearer. The silver is created with the tint of aristocratism, lavishly and worthy to come to collections of family jewels. Niello is a black metallic alloy of copper, silver, sulfur, and lead, used as an inlay on engraved metal. It can be used for filling in designs cut from metal.

Vacuum MassageIt is known that the ancient Chinese used thin hollow rods of clay or bamboo to cure numerous diseases. Medical practitioners created negative pressure in the rods and applied them to the patient's body. The skin was sucked into the wands causing blood and lymph flows rush from deep lying tissues to the afflicted organ. Ancient Chinese healers fairly believed that a disease could be cured by improved blood circulation. Nowadays this procedure is called vacuum massage.

With time, hollow rods were substituted by well-known cups which create negative pressure and perform vacuum massage by achieving suction effect. During vacuum massage, metabolism is activated, blood circulation is increased, and oxygen supply to the tissues is improved. Besides, under the effect of vacuum massage toxins and slags are removed from the body.

Vacuum massage is performed using special devices which help to improve microcirculation of blood and lymph, remove toxins, and eliminate water retention. Moreover, excess fat is burned away in the process. Vacuum massage smoothes hypodermic fat layer and skin becomes more elastic. The early devices for vacuum massage were large and unhandy, vendors tried to improve them. Now these instruments are compact and may be used at home. Vacuum massage is performed with different heads, the pressure and intensity levels are adjustable. The head gently sucks the skin, and the massage therapist, draws the skin in different directions, making circular pressing movements.

The vacuum massage device might be used for facial massage, too. The procedure begins with clavicular lymph nodes stimulation, then the neck is treated and the therapist gradually proceeds to the face. Cup massage lasts for up to 10 minutes. A session of this massage type helps to intensify elastin and collagen production, improves blood microcirculation and lymphatic drainage. Facial skin looks better, younger, tougher and fresher. Facial vacuum massage must be carried out by a skilled specialist; if the procedure is done improperly, blood tumor or couperose may occur. To achieve greater effect, the facial vacuum massage can be combined with other cosmetic procedures.

Vacuum massage is actively practiced to prevent or eliminate cellulite on back and rear sides of thighs and hips. With the help of this device, the excess fat is burned away quickly and painlessly, biochemical processes inside the body show positive changes, microcirculation of blood and lymph improves, metabolic processes are activated, overall condition of health improves, water retention is eliminated. In combination with other procedures, vacuum massage helps to get rid of «orange-peel effect», to regenerate skin toughness, to alleviate stretch marks. Cup massage can be performed on almost all areas of human body. It is used for body sculpting or figure correcting.

Cup massage has not only cosmetic but also therapeutic effect. It helps to decrease back pains caused by osteochondrosis. It is used also in treatment of hypertension, stenocardia, gynecopathies, vegetative-vascular disease, headaches and insomnia. Best results are achieved by the massage of liver and kidney areas. Usually therapeutic cup massage is applied to the following areas: back, collar area, neck, lumbar area, tummy, hips, buttocks and calves. There are several contraindications to cup massage, so you should consult your doctor before massage session. The procedure must be carried out by an experienced therapist.

There is a variety of cups of different size and shape intended for vacuum massage; glass cups are traditionally used at home. Normally, vacuum massage is performed by using rubber glass - a small silicone massager. The massage is easy to perform. There are three simple rules: the massaged area must be greased well (never use rubber glass on dry skin), use three massage movements - straight-line, circular and zigzag (repeat each 5-6 times), control the vacuum - massage doesn't have to be painful. Massage each area at least for 5 minutes.

Use massage crème, oil or gel. Essential and aromatic oils can be added as well. Cups suck well to the greased skin, vacuum is created by flame of a cotton pad moistened in spirit. Moving the cups along the massage area causes improved flow blood and lymph to particular area, metabolism stimulation, relaxation of stagnant skin and muscles, and eliminates cellulite and excess fat. The procedure usually lasts up to 15-20 minutes. Bruising is a normal skin reaction to cup massage, it requires no treatment and fades away in several days.

Men’s Muffler – a Scarf with the French Accent

Muffler is a kerchief or a scarf which seems to be uncomplicated for use though it sometimes confuses in purpose. The word coming from the French «cache-nez» means «hide your nose» which is completely unreasonable for this garment today. On the contrary, this piece of clothes proves to be the decorative element in the wardrobe in every possible way. However, this does make neither men nor women upset for not a jot, since there are far more considerable garments in volume and material to use if necessary. A muffler is a perfect complement to the elegant apparel with the hint of being aristocratic which is too essential for the business image.

Produced by Kenzo, Japan, Flower was created by the perfumer Alberto Morillas, Spain, and "dressed" by designer Serge Mansau, France.

Radon Baths: The Healing Power of Radiation

Radon baths are a variety of the radon therapy, prepared using mineral waters containing radon. Radon is a colorless, odorless and tasteless radioactive gas that is formed from the naturally occurring radioactive decay of radium and uranium. The main working factor of radon are alpha rays which have an array of properties and are successfully used in the treatment of peripheral nervous system, locomotorium, vascular, gynecological and some cutaneous diseases and also post-burn complications. During radon bath, unstable products of radon decay form the so called «active fur» on the skin, and its concentration increases even with slight movements of the patient in the bath or in the basin. It consolidates its grip on one's skin firmly enough and remains on the skin for 2-3 hours. The patient, being in the bath, is exposed to radon radiation which penetrates the skin and through the lungs into the blood flow.
