 If you have ever been interested in
comedies, especially in comedy serials, you certainly know this woman. Just
remember: 2006, regular ceremony of giving Emmy Awards. Shining eyes of
nominees, traditional carpet strips, diamonds (which are not less traditional
than carpets), limousines and haute couture dresses. And... the title of the
best actress of a comedy serial is awarded to Julia Louis-Dreyfus for her
part in the television film «The New Adventures of Old Christine». One would
think - what is so special about it?
- I didn't want to go to Emmy ceremony, -
will tell Julia laughing. - I ordered a diamond necklace with a New York
jeweler (it was going to match my white and black dress). But the jeweler was
not able to finish it by the ceremony. I was crying for several hours - I
look awful without my jewelry! These are traditional feelings of
traditionally glamorous star. Is that really true?
Julia is a nice dark-visage round-faced
cutie, star of situation comedies and mother of two boys. She is not a young
girl, not dolly girl and not just her father's daughter (who, by the way,
never falls out of two hundreds of Forbes-list). Julia is an independent
celebrity.
Julia Scarlett Elizabeth was born on the
13th of January 1961 in New York, USA. Her family was not just rich, but
exceptionally rich. Her father, Gérard (who was sometimes called William in
the American manner) Louis-Dreyfus, when he was young, took part in all
businesses that could bring some profit.
When he reached his maturity, his spheres
of business were: power engineering, telecommunication technologies, real
estate and transport. Dreyfus had magnificent upbringing, perfect education
and he has lived all his life traveling between New York and Paris - but he
stayed a Frenchman forever. Julia also inherited these French features - both
in her appearance and in her elusive charm. But, as it often happens, Julia's
parents divorced, when she was a little girl. All her childhood she traveled
from one American city to the other with her mother (who was a writer) and
her stepfather.
Girl's education also had to be
prestigious: Holton-Arms, then - Northwestern University in Evanston,
Illinois, where she took lessons of the scenic art and was a member of student's
sisterhood Delta Gamma. Though it is worth mentioning that the inconsistent
girl gave up both studying and taking part in sisterhood right after the
first semester. Though later, in 2007, when Julia became a popular American
actress, her grateful Alma Mater awarded to her an honorary degree - Doctor
of Arts at the Culturology Department of Northwestern University.
And what do you think Julia had to do
after giving up her studies at the university? Did she have to work hard,
trying to earn money for a diet Coke and a box of cosmetics? Well, it is not
quite true... Of course she hasn't even thought of becoming a cleaner or a
waitress. Rich relatives supported her, gave her a chance to show what she
was able to do. Thanks to her family Julia started her cinematic career since
1982 - step by step, appearing at first in small events, in pilot series. And
then she gradually reached the most prestigious cinematographic awards.
In 1987 being just a beginner, the
actress married an actor, script writer and her old friend Brad Hall, with
whom she has been going out for some years. They have two long hoped-for
sons: Henry (1992) and Charles (1997). But something (nobody knows what it
was exactly) broke this marriage - the new century came and they got
divorced.
The thing that is absolutely not
surprising is the affection this crown-millionaire expresses to clothes and
jewelry. Besides being a popular show-woman and comedy actress, Julia is a
well-known participant of high society hangout. You have a cell-phone, don't
you? And what canvas cover do you carry it in? Yeah, yeah... Now one of the
most fashionable and luxury accessories is a colored leather cover for the
cell-phone. And it was our heroine, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who brought this elegant
thing into vogue. She has several dozens of such covers - of multiple
coloration and different surface finish.
By the way, aren't you surprised with
such a strange choice of profession? What for does she need all these
stupidities, these film serials, these shows, these comedies? She is the
woman who will inherit about one billion of dollars, a woman, whose
grandfather is a national hero and whose father is incredibly rich. This
strange choice of profession can be surprising only at a first glace. If you
have a closer look, everything gets clear.
As it became known, being an actress is making a tribute
to call of the ancestors'
interests and desires. But the ancestors didn't follow this call, they
persevered in earning money. Julia's father - Gérard - is a great poetry-lover, he favors modern
poets and earlier he even tried to versify himself, though without any
success. Julia's mother is an «almost popular» writer. So such thing as a yen
to creativity is something similar to having millions of dollars - sooner or
later it will be inherited by somebody else.
