Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the most popular twins in Hollywood
history, appear to be the youngest millionaires in the history of USA, at the
same time. They reached their 10th age when they earned the first million of US
dollars. The sisters were born on June 13, 1986 and to the age of 23 they own
the considerable amount of 300 million dollars in the bank. As the twins say,
they paid the most expensive price for the success, fame and wealth, namely
their childhood, which will not come back for money.
We know some cases in the history of cinema when the gifted
children work for themselves and become wealthy and famous grown-ups. Yet,
there are many other cases to contrast when parents realize that their kids are
talented and they work on making them into the money-making mechanisms. And
money is not just to buy clothes or a car. And nobody waits for the kid’s
consent and here the excuse that the kids will thank when they grow up works
forever for such parents. And it works in most cases, though the childhood is
not the substance that can be then bought for good money. Similar story happened
with Michael Jackson, Macaulay Culkin and the same is with sisters Olsen. The
first time the sisters worked on air when they joined the cast as nine-month
babies for a TV series. They only had to lie quietly and not cry, and that was
the triggering point for their cinema career. Little baby girls worked hard to
earn money for the family at every stage of their childhood living a life that
resembles the life adopted in army, regarding the strict schedule and hard
work. They never played, they were not seen at the backyard playing with other
kids since they were involved in the adult life – work mattered and that was
the priority. The girls admit now that they are lucky to be two of them since
without mutual help and support each of them would appear at the mental home,
since it was incredibly difficult to endure the emotional, physical and
psychological stress.
Nevertheless, the parents of sisters laid a good and stable
financial foundation to build the empire for their daughters, which they held
in their twins hands when they reached their full age. The parents did smart
when they realized that cinema is not the only way to survive and the sisters
Olsen were turned into the real live brand. The sisters starred in a plenty of TV
series and movies (created by their own motion picture company), they launch
their music albums, they hosted talk-shows at TV, and were involved in writing
biography books.
On the top of it, the managers working for the sisters found
the way to earn good money on the brand itself. The admirers of Mary-Kate and
Ashley are greatly delighted to have various souvenir attributes with their
image on watches, pens, rucksacks, sin care products for young girls and so
forth. So, the brand works for them.
Moreover, the twins did it till they reached their age when
they find themselves mature and independent. At the age from 3 to 6 they were given
pocket money of five dollars per week for each of them. 10 dollars amount was
given when the twins reached their ninth birthday. When teenagers, the girls
were granted 50 dollars per week and that was a lot!
At the age of 16 each one was presented a car and 500 US
dollars as the birthday gift, and this is a good present. And thanks to such a
smart policy regarding the financial state, the sisters Olsen did not appear spoilt
as many teen stars do when quick and easy-got money make them rotten and
destroy the further life. As adults, when they proceeded to manage the business
by themselves, they only had to follow the smart and adequate policy.
Doing that, the twins earned 17 million dollars of net profit
for two of them in 2007. And they do not intend to stop on that. In 2009 they launched
the collection of men’s wear for autumn and winter seasons. And they succeeded
again. The talented girls appear to find their niche in this life and they are
smart enough to go straight and to the success. Since they do not know the
other way to do.
