 Royal families and their weddings... the words are
fascinating for any woman. The royal wedding assumes a luxury wedding cortège,
long limousines decorated with flowers, wedding gowns by the legendary designers,
laces of diamonds, of course by reputed jewelers, the parade of guests of
celebrities and wealthy persons, solemn music, a temple decorated on the
highest level with the real princess and real prince on their knees at the
altar. This is what we imagine.
Actually, all royal weddings look the same. Every detail looks
elegant, delicate, romantic and luxury in the strict correspondence with the adopted
etiquette. The royal wedding is not only the ceremony that units two loving
hearts, it is the beginning of the new life, and on the top of it, it is a real
show for all the resenting guests, the show for the country and the show for
the whole world.
However, the wedding events held by current royal families
have no old good romanticism that was presented before. The cases when a couple
going to the altar is a prince and a princess are too rare. The royal families
use the scandal tendency to marry to people of the different social status. And,
as soon as the royal family member announces of the engagement, a happy bride is
immediately awarded a title and the marriage they planned is acknowledged as
the legitimate by the consent of the Head of the Royal house and the head of
the Church. And the majority of dynasty regulations assume that.
So, what we see now. The Crown prince of Norway is married
to a waitress with a child from the previous marriage. The future king of
Holland married to a girlfriend of the Argentinean drug baron. The heir of the Dutch
throne married to the Australian real estate broker and the prince of Spain –
to the TV reporter who was specialized in the reportages from Iraq to have the
total fame in Spain. The last shock was done by Charles, the strong monarchist in
2005, the heir to the British throne when he married Camilla Parker-Bowles at
the age of 56. His long-lasted lover was 57 at that time and she was the cause
of the break up of relations between Charles and Diane. The Queen Elizabeth, when
speaking at the wedding party, started from the results of the horse race «Grand
National Steeplechase» and she compared the wedding of her son with the
successful finish after a long and tiring round.
The other wedding of this series is expected when William
announces about the engagement with Kate Middleton, a girl from the
middle-class society.
Honestly speaking, such weddings signal about the tendency that
preceding dynastic statutes which were oriented, first of all, to strengthen
intergovernmental relations and conclusion of political alliances and assumed
marriage between the royal families only, lose their force. Today, when the world
is governed by the monarchy and democracy (managed by financiers, economists and
politicians), political alliances through marriages are not actual and it
consequent in the opportunity for the heirs to look for and choose spouses on
the base of personal preferences.
On the one part, the alliances of royal family members with
ordinary people help to strengthen the relations between the monarchy and
democracy which is the spirit of the present times.
Though, the wedding events held by royal families never lost
the zest and romance and luxury and elegance because the couple gets married
for love but not because of policy. And still, such weddings are show for the
ordinary people.
However, royal weddings are affordable to those who have
enough funds to have it at the royal level, with all pompousness and luxury.
The marriage is contracted in the palace, and in the famous
cathedral. The wealthy people can choose the place, time and country where they
want to contract a marriage. The bridal gown will not yield to the dress of any
princess and the groom will be as elegant as the prince at the wedding. The professional
compère will entertain the guests with the stars, the firework and laser show
will be arranged, the limousines and yachts and gel balloons will be reserved.
Every attribute of the royal family is affordable providing you have enough
assets.
So, the point is that no deal to think of the romantic
atmosphere at royal weddings as of something unapproachable. Any bride and any
groom can feel themselves a princess and a prince just by desire. And this is
the trend of our times, either.
