 It would be silly to wonder who is the sex symbol for the
younger generation after the triumph show of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The starring
actors, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, became iconic, no doubt. Soon after
the second part of the vampire saga The Twilight Saga: New Moon was released, they
are likely losing their positions in favor of Taylor Lautner aka Jacob Black,
since his character is far more important for the movie than before.
When the fact that Jacob is 16-year old boy is revealed, most
people grin mistrustfully since they do not believe that the fellow may look
that manly. Nevertheless, there are occasions when the age of the actor and the
age of the character coincide ideally, since Taylor Lautner was born on February
11, 1992. Simple arithmetic shows that the actor is only 17 at the moment.
Taylor Lautner is a real actor of the American nation. He was
born in the American suburbs, Grand-Rapids town in the State of Michigan and he
is the real average American though he has different bloods in his genealogy
root, including German, Dutch and French ancestors. He proved to be the real American
without any reservation. By the way, he is the child of the aboriginal Indians
of the continent. Moreover, the confused genealogy tree caused the actor
announce his surname as the German or Dutch surname, not American.
On the top of it, the press and the cinema society hold to
the traditional English version, so we do the same.
It is a little bit too early to discuss the perspectives of Lautner’s
career, he is too young. Currently he gained more serious progress in sports.
In spite of his age, Lautner is the experienced professional in the sphere of martial
arts and this is easy to explain – he is involved in karate from the year of 6.
Yet, he is doing more and more progress: he is the repeated Champion of the
World in various categories for karate for juniors. In 2003 he won the highest title
in the categories «Open Forms», «Traditional Weapon», «Musical arm» and «Traditional
Forms». A year after Taylor added the title of the Karate Championship of the
World for Juniors.
Lautner would likely become the new super star like Bruce
Lee or Chack Norris, if not the occasion. One of the Taylor’s trainers on fighting
was happy to train the charming and cheerful fellow and stated once that the
young boy would look lovely as a commercial actor. Very soon there was the
casting among juniors for the commercial ad of one of the largest networks of
the fast-food restaurants. Lautner tried his chance and you see the result.
The scenario so much popular in Hollywood would tell that
the producers discovered fantastic actor skills about Taylor and compared with
De Niro or Nicholson, at least. But everything was too simple – Lautner failed
the casting. However, the chance to live in the world of cinema was liked by
the young actor to get crazy about the cinema. Since that time he participated in
all the castings for all projects supported by parents and when Taylor was 10,
his parents moved to California from Michigan, close to Hollywood. Taylor
combined his fighting lessons with actor study, though one of his activities
would have to become the hobby.
After Taylor debuted as the serious actor with the cameo in
the TV movie «Shadow Fury» released in 2001, he actively featured in the
series. He took part in such projects as « Danny Phantom», «Summerland», «The
Bernie Mac Show». First he succeeded in the big cinema when he starred in the
junior comedy «The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D».
Consequently, Taylor features in the series of higher rating
as « Love, Inc. » и « My Own Worst Enemy», though he climbed the mountain of
success only after he starred as Jacob Black in the Twilight. In the first saga
Taylor’s character played the secondary role while he really succeeded in the
second part of this saga.
By the way, the success and fame of the young actor could be
suspended when the producers were considering replacement of Taylor by the
other actor in the two other parts of the saga. The point is that Black matured
a little bit in the second part (he became the werewolf, you remember) and the
height of 1.79 was believed to be too short for the werewolf. Nevertheless,
Taylor managed to settle the situation when he gained approximately 15 kg of muscle mass to the
shooting period and all hesitations about his image disappeared.
Thus, the fans and admirers of Lautner can be sure to watch
him in the third final part of the movie about vampires, werewolves and other
cute creatures.
