Pink diamonds in history of mankind

India proved to be the place where the pink diamonds are mined from the ancient times, and this country is also the place of the first pink diamond ever developed in the history of precious stones. Darya-e Nur, 182 carats (36g) diamond, is the world-known pink diamond developed in India which means Sea of Light or Ocean of Light. It is supposed to be mined in the Paritala-Kollur Mine in Golkonda approximately in the early XIV century. First the diamond is mentioned in works by the famous traveler Jean-Baptiste Tavernier when he visited Golkonda in 1642. Jean-Baptiste called the stone a Gig Table since the stone was of the square shape with natural facets that resembled the lines of a table. The stone weighed 242,31 carats. Far later the stone was found in the treasure house of Nader Shah of Persia, where the Big Table was supposed to be cut into two parts, Darya-e Nur and the stone of lesser size. The modern Sea of Light distinguishes with the pale pink shade and is trimmed in gold, incrusted with precious stones. At present the stone is stored at the Tehran Central Bank of Iran. In XVIII century the court jewelers used color precious stones in a great way. The royal diadems were incrusted with a bulk of fancy diamonds when creating the brilliant look altogether with the exact lines of the silhouette. A flat diamond of tender pink color weighing 13 carats was found in possession of Paul I. The precious stone was the core stone in the diadem with additionally incrusted 175 diamonds and 1200 stones of rose faceting. In the XX century pink diamonds became too popular in the segment of precious stones after the diamond mines Argyle was discovered in 70s in Australia. Most Expensive, Legendary and Large Diamonds

Steinmetz Pink is the largest pink diamonds with the high purity rate. This diamond was found in Africa which weighed 59,60 carats. The jewelers of Steinmetz Company worked hard for two years to furnish the stone the look of diamond.

Graff, a pink diamond, from the South Africa, of 70,39 carats, of a pear-shaped faceting, is the part of the necklace incrusted with white diamonds. Pink Panther is not a myth

The legendary auction house Christie's was the witness of the scandalous battle for the main lot Vivid Pink, the diamond of juicy rich shades of pink color weighing 5 carats. This diamond appears to be the prototype of the well-known Pin Panther from the similar movie. Before the diamond was put to auction, it was demonstrated in Geneva, New York, Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong, the place of the auction event. Fountain pens or ballpoints Etoile de Montblanc from the Joaillière collection are perfect accessories for a business lady. These pens are made in white, pink or yellow gold, incrusted with pink diamond and blue sapphires. The price ranges from 1000 to 4000 thousand dolls.

The rarity and the amazing beauty of the pink diamonds make the accessories really attractive and fantastic. Some people tend to demonstrate the jewels showing off, while the others are willing to hide the treasures in safes as the most reliable investment in future. Nevertheless, the pink brilliance of the stone is always luxury, whether it is trimmed in gold or incrsted with other precious stones and gems.
