is like a child, and in 2005 this company celebrated the tenth anniversary. The

In the end of 1950s after graduating from the Geneva School of
Watch-makers, a twenty-year old fellow Roger Dubuis proceeded to the work as a
watch-maker. He gained the experience from various masters in different watch
manufacturers in Geneva for long twenty years, sometimes helping the
professionals to create new models of watches developing the fines and accurate
mechanisms. In the year 1980 Roger Dubuis initiated a small watch studio of his
own to repair and restoration watches form private collections, though he never

and improvement of the complex models for several solid watch-making companies
in Geneva, inventing new mechanisms. Thanks to his talent and feeling of watch design,
Roger Dubuis won the fame of the master who was able to solve the most

Approximately that time Roger Dubuis got acquainted with Carlos
Diaz, watch repairer with the wide range of acquaintances among the collectors.
After 15 years of friendship, in the year 1995, Dubuis and Diaz founded an
independent enterprise in Geneva Roger Dubuis SA, with only two employees,
namely them themselves. Carlos Diaz was willing to create unique and exclusive models
of watches that would be able to concern his friends and acquaintances, while Roger
Dubuis was the ideal partner in this meaning, since he was believed to be one
of the best and independent watch masters. Both masters agreed in one aspect, when
they supposed that every watch should be perfect and accurate in all respect.
On the one part, Carlos Diaz and Roger Dubuis never intended
to work for the batch production, and on the other part, their regular
customers could afford acquiring the real exclusive watches. They required the
exclusivity from the masters. Thus, one of the customers came to the idea to have
the unique exclusive watches when always fell into panic when he though of
meeting a stranger with the same watches in the first-class board of the plane.
Therefore, the watches Roger Dubuis are produced in limited edition, most often
it is 28 items, though there are larger batches.
The first collection of Roger Dubuis was launched in 1996.
The Sympathie series presents watches of square shape that were incredibly
loved by Carlos Diaz who made them with the unique winding from four sides. The
watches of Hommage series are manufactured as round watches, skeptically considered
by Diaz, though he proved to create a real masterpiece by inventing these
watches distinguished with classic look and strict appearance. He believed that
«every shape is wonderful in its own», and people just need to see and perceive
the beauty of them. Here the unique and splendid design of watches is
emphasized with luxury, when the case details are performed in pink or white
gold or platinum, and the quality is proved by the brand mark of Geneva. Most mechanisms
of these watches acquired the certificate of the Geneva Observatory.
For the 10 years the company grew from two employees to 370 staff
personnel, and the area occupied by the latest equipments is equal to 50 000 square meters.
The level of the Company still keeps conforming to the «perfection in all
respects»: technical equipping, staff personnel qualification (from creative
and managerial departments), and proficiency of designers. Currently the watch-making
company Roger Dubuis conquered the whole world, when it opened its
representations in different countries, including Western countries.
Nevertheless, the watches manufactured by Roger Dubuis are
still luxury and exclusive, and still, they are not affordable to every person.
Though, the person who is able to get Roger Dubuis watches may be sure that he
will see the same watches at the ratio of 28 to 6,5 billions of strangers of
potential watch wearers.
