1. Century City has been the American
millionaires' dream. This commercial and residential area in Los
Angeles has long ago become the choice that wealthy people of all
nationalities make looking for a second home. Its history began 50
years ago, when there was a need for "20th Century Fox" film studio and
film production. A vacant site was found, and the construction began.
"Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer" followed, and later luxurious hotels and business
centres popped up. Thus, Los Angeles got its new exclusive district.
The consruction has never stopped. Every year more appartment buildings
are added to the Century City, and the day is coming when not every
millionaire will be able to afford an appartment here. Century Tower
appartments have made a real sensation and have caused estate buyers'
madness. There are exclusive penthouses and well developed
infrastructure with private schools and clinics, spa centres with
swimming pools and running paths on the roof, designers' boutiques and

as Arab Manhattan, continues to astonish by the height of its
buildings. Since the beginning of this year the Damac company (one of
the biggest UAE private developers) has been selling apartments in the
new exclusive residential building, Madison Residence. It sits away
from the main Dubailand in the Emirates Road, in a quiet environment
but with all conveniences of civilization: there is a park zone, sport
areas, art gallery (where lectures in arts are available), a theater,
Spa and fitness centers, swimming pools, multibrand boutiques and
up-scale restaurants. The Madison Residence complex consists of several
4-storeyed western style buildings with elements of Oriental decor:
fountains, carved marble ceilings, balustrades and Arab moldings. Each
house has small apartments with elegant interiors and exclusive
spacious apartments with studios, several bathrooms and bedrooms. The
proximity to the Jebel Ali airport (just 10 minutes of driving) is

3. "Egadi": houses in the Italian
Eden. When one hears "Italian real estate", the mind readily pictures
villas and castles, but elite apartments are also in great demand in
this country. More often they are not skyscrapers with hundreds of
apartments, but small cottages (townhouses) with a fewl apartments.
This is exactly how the Egadi Residence is laid out. It was built in
Calabria, on the Ionian sea shore. One glance is enough to fall in love
with the local beauties: snow-white houses with transparent walls in

Foster is building the most expensive residential complex in Argentina,
and 30% of its unfinished apartments have been already sold to foreign
millionaires! The foundation for Aleph Residence is laid in the
prestigious region of Buenos Aires. It is supposed to be a Gothic
9-storeyed building with 57 apartments. The complex will be surrounded
with gardens, swimming pools and restaurants, and its ground floor will
accomodate a Luis Borges cultural centre (his novel gave the name to
the residence). Architectural details have been kept in secret, but, no
doubt, it will be only available to those chosen ones. Prices start
from $6,000 per sq.m.
