The nose for the Adventure is Antoine Lie, one of the key perfumers in the perfume industry working for the Givaudan, the well-known company in Switzerland. Antoine Lie is not the person who designed most legendary fragrances or known for his breakthroughs in perfume world, though he is recognized for his works as Burberry Brit Gold, Giorgio Armani Armani Code, Gucci Rush, Paul Smith London, Valentino Gold, Versace Crystal Noir, and more. Yet, Davidoff Adventure is one of the real hit for Antoine Lie to smash the public.

The fragrance starts with the cool and woody scent uniquely blended with the citric notes and accords of species and wood. The heart of the fragrance is built on the notes of mandarine orange, lemon, bergamot, sesame, pimento, pepper, vetiver, cedar and white musk.

Davidoff Adventure – Scent For Discoverers

The management of the Davidoff house spent a lot of assets and time for the fragrance ad campaign. Davidoff Adventure was one of few fragrances of the brand for the ad campaign of which was invited the celebrity to promote it. Ewan McGregor, the British actor who starred in Moulin Rouge, Star Wars, Trainspotting, Down with Love was invited for the promotional ad campaign. However, the promotion agency for the Davidoff Adventure was not attracted with the star chacracters of Ewan but with his passion to adventures and travels. So, in 2004 Ewan made a journey round the world on a bike within 15 weeks covering the distance over 30 thousand km (by the way, the documentary film Long Way Round was shot based upon his journey). In 2007 the actor went for the journey again, from Scotland to Capetown. Thus, it’s not intriguing that Ewan McGregor, the fervent explorer, became the live symbol of the Davidoff Adventure philosophy. The actor was photographed in the jungle in Brazil to express the wildness of nature and soul of discovery.

Despite the Adventure was released not so long ago, approximately two years ago, the house presented two flankers of the fragrance. The new versions were launched in the way typical to the house of Davidoff. Yet, the designers of Adventure flankers did not invent something new when releasing flankers. They only took their chance to a little bit change the original fragrant composition. So, Davidoff Adventure Eau Fraiche, launched in early 2010, showed a fresh note of green apart from original accords. And for the price, it’s no brainer.
