 The entrance hall is there to any housing has and any
hostess tries every attempt to make this part of the house attractive and tidy
to the highest extent. One of the wanted requirements is to provide the space
in the hall and at the same time to accommodate all the things we use outdoor.
If your hall is spacious and large, you face no problems
with the interior design and décor. If the hall is small and does not provide
the space to use the designer ideas, and especially if the layout is not that
practical, you will face rational troubles. Many apartments currently cry to be
of little space for the family needs. And the owners of such apartments rack
their brains to find the way out and satisfy their esthetic demands and the
usability requirements.
The interior designers have some tips and hints on how to
enlarge the small hall without destroying the walls and seizing the space of
your neighbors.
So, if you follow these simple pieces of advice you are «chancy»
to successfully change the several meters of your hall into the spacious and
stylish place.
Advice 1: cheer up! We leave all dark colors and shades to
those who like staying under the ground and caves. Your place will get free and
more spacious when you adventurously choose ant pastel shades of tender creamy
and vanilla colors for walls and the ceiling.
The ivory-white, light and free shade of coffee with milk
are still trendy this season. Those who keen on blue color, are advised that they
paint the walls into the azure color or get the wallpapers of the lighter tints
of the violet, aquamarine, and sea wave. The play of colors is just welcomed
though stay in the frame of one to two color gammas.
Advice 2: do not overload the hall with lots of details and
décor elements. The plenty of laced and carved things, the baroque and rococo style
elements visually make the place smaller and heavier. You are advised that you
have one shelf made from natural wood in the strict Northern style than a dozen
of various shelves of different color and structure. Try to avoid stucco work,
busts and sculptures, ruches, embroidered and knitted cloths in a great variety
to various tastes. Advice 3: a mirror. This should be of a bigger size which is

like to have the mirror opposite the entrance door. The frame to the mirror is
good when made from plain wood or metal, depending on the interior style.
Advice 4: the hall gets cozier and visually larger when you
have plants and flowers, especially at the mirror. Wonderful roses in a simple
white vase or your favorite tuft root in the wicker ornamental flowerpot just
accentuate the delicacy of the place and add some unique style to it. Avoid abusing the plants not to make your hall
into the botany garden. Two to three bunches of flowers is enough for a smaller
space. The glowing green spots on the lighter background and modest furniture
look fresh and create the enjoyable atmosphere.
Advice 5: use more smooth lines. The abundance of sharp
lines is good for spacious rooms while the tiny hall requires the delicate use.
And rounded corners are the most preferred way with delicate and smart shifting
when the place will look far better.
Advice 6: use a niche to place the sliding-door wardrobe. There
is usually a niche or a closet in the hall of almost all apartments which takes
a significant place and is not practical enough to accommodate the things. You
are welcome to make it into the sliding-door wardrobe by yourself when there
are millions of offers how to do it and what to do first.
The ideal version of this equipment is the sliding-door
wardrobe with mirror doors which save the place and enlarge it visually, which
is our intention.
The wardrobe with the book-shaped doors look attractive
though the doors will be plain, not mirror by the construction.
Again, if you face the problem what style to be preferred in
your hall, consider the following. The moderate classic, minimalism, Northern
style, lighter kinds of colonial style and country style, the style of shakers
is also good. If necessary, all the styles may be shuffled and used in your
hall in the unique version in various proportions and mixes. The eclectic style
if often more actual and fitted to the housing places that interior in one

And still, the most decorative element of the house is the smiling hostess and
