 Panerai Company manufactures the high class elegant
watches and designer solutions by Panerai meet the requirements by the experts.
Guido Panerai& Figlio Company is established in 1860 in Florence, Italy.
The brand becomes at the time the official manufacturer of specialized and
military watches for the Italian Navy. In 1936 the Company renamed as Officine
Panerai, presents the special model of watches for divers. Radiomir watch is exclusively
created for the secret torpedo group. And in 1938 Radiomir model was
manufactured in hundreds of copies.
The special features of watches are that they are
waterproof and reliability. The brand construction of the winder gives the leaktightness
in the depth. Rolex manufactured mechanism with manual winding was used.
The dial plate is black, markers and hands. Primarily
dial plates with the back lighting were introduced charged on batteries. The final
dial plate is many-sided construction. There are no labels but digits on the dial
plate of Panerai watches.
In 1943 the
Company designers created the innovative model of Mare Nostrum watches that is
again assigned for military purposes rather than for ordinary people. In 1950
the Company improves the model of watches and manufactures more perfect watches
Luminor. The mechanism of pocket watches Angelus with 8-day move reserve and
high water resistance is applied this time. The components based on tritium are
used on the dial plate that makes the illumination better. And due to that
watches is called as it is now. There has been no news about the Company till
1977 when it is purchased Vendome Luxury Group, one of the legendary
corporations in the international watchmaking manufacture, including such
famous companies as Cartier and Vacheron Constantin. Since that time Panerai «re-launches»
many of its models in limited copies and intends to increase the production
rate in the nearest future.
The Company manufactures the prototype titanium watch
to survive a pressure equivalent to a depth of 1000 meters in 1980. The two
decades over Richemont purchases Officine Panerai and the assortment of goods
of the company ranges from watches, compasses, torches to depth gauges. In 2001
first brand store is opened in Piazza San Giovanni in Florence. The manufacturing
base is opened in 2002 in Neuchâtel as well as the first boutique in Asia, in
the Prince's Building in Hong Kong and the one in Portofino in 2003.
in 2005 the Company opens Panerai brand stores in
Shanghai and Los Angeles and at the same time it presents its first in-house
movement: the calibre P.2002.
Officine Panerai watches is high quality things. The
proficiency of the personnel, unique designer skills contribute to make Officine
Panerai wristwatches so much popular among the brand admirers. The watches are
exported to various parts of the world.
