The company was founded in 1967 by the brothers Jonas af Jochnick and Robert af Jochnick. Known as the Global Technical Centre (GTC), it ensures that cosmetics are continuously improved and guarantees that no products contain an ingredient whose use would be in conflict with regulations in the European Union or the United States. Oriflame products are not tested on animals - if it is impossible to carry out tests with volunteers, in vitro tests are used.
