We know from the old times that scents have a vital influence on the human organism. The mankind knows of the magic force of aromas. All the living creatures use the scents as the alarm system, from plants to animals and people. A flower when exhaling the scent attracts the pollinating insects, an animal tells on its belonging to the particular family and class, readiness to attack or friendly relations. People, though, use scents to the wider and fuller extent.

Guerlain Jicky House, the legendary of perfume industry was founded in 1828 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain. Initially Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain created special perfume products for each customer selling personal care items supplied from the neighboring England, though later on he made his mind to create his own perfume line creating exclusive fragrances for many personalities. And soon after, he became the official provider for the royal families in Europe. After the death of Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, the Guerlain House was charged by his son Aimé who entered into the history of the world perfume thanks to Jicky fragrance created in 1889 that became the pre-image of many modern fragrances. Actually Jicky created by Aimé Guerlain appeared to be the first «contemporary» perfume.

That's why myrrh essential oil has specific scent - smoky and resinous.

Musk is one of the delightful and amazing components used in perfumery. It falls to the category of perfume classic fragrances as well as amber. The word «musk» comes from the Latin «muscus», and the Latin language in its turn borrowed this word from the dead Sanskrit which meant «scrotum» or «testicle». So, what is musk? Despite a very young age - only three years - Guerlain Insolence may well claim the title of one of the most famous fragrances in the world or at least one of the finest specimens of powdery perfumes.

Although the first Chanel women's perfume was presented as early as 1921, the legendary Coco Chanel spent much less time and effort on the creation of men's fragrances. The first Chanel fragrance for men - Pour Monsieur - was created more than three decades after the launch of the French perfume brand, in 1955. It was meant to be the «Chanel No.5» for men and quickly became a classic. However, the most successful Chanel fragrances for men were conceived when the great Coco was already gone. Chanel Antaeus is one of them, a scent that perfectly captures the spirit of a male powerhouse fragrance of the 1980s.
