Definitely perm hair style is one of the styles which bring an elegant image
in whole appearance of a female or male. Perm hairstyle is generally suitable
for the female although male people also make the hair perm to give him a smart

This hairstyle is also known as curly or wavy
hairstyle. It can also make curly hair straight and straighten difficult
sections of hair like bangs. It can be used in different forms such as Spot or
weave perm which means some part of the hair will be permed and some won't be.
In a word it'll give a natural look. Another form of the style is Root perm
which adds lift to the roots if your hair tends to be flat. There's Stack perm, Spiral perm or Body perm.
Stake perm means the hair will be permed from just the bottom half of the hair
while Spiral perm means the hair is wound around long rods for a cortically
curl. On the other hand, Body perm is done on larger rollers to give volume.
People specially the female were allured to
design her hair with different style from the very early age. But perm
hairstyle actually became popular among the women in the late nineteenth
century and with the age it has been renovated adding with different scientific
method.
It's the chemical or thermal treatment of
hair to make it wave or curl. But when new hair grows it is not waved.
When someone cut the hair from the end they remove that was waved, giving the
impression that the permanent wave gradually disappears. In cosmetology, it is called as a type of curl reformation. Washing would immediately destroy the

thermal treatment, people might think it is not safe to perm colored hair. But it's a
wrong idea. Perms are now available in special formulas for even the
lightest shades of tinted or bleached hair.
Every perm is performed in two procedures: physical
wrapping of the hair into shapes and a chemical bath that breaks and then
reforms the disulfide bonds of your hair. In other words, the chemicals soften the
inner structure of the hair.
If you want a hair perm it's important to
know your own hair type and how it reacts the process of breaking and then
re-forming links between protein chains in your hair. Breaking these bonds
causes the hair to expand, stretch, and take the shape of the
rods.
After the World War I it was the demand
of time that women would come out from the home to earn money with the purpose to drive her
family as a huge number of male people became impaired as the immediate result
of the destructive war. During the work period it needed to shorten the hair as
the long hair was an obstacle to work smoothly. So the short hair or perm
hairstyle became popular very rapidly among the working women.
At that moment electricity had been introduced
for the first time for lightning and production pursposes. It began to be used for
heating and the application of the electric motor at the small business and
domestic level. As shorter hair looked nicer in appearance after waving even more
than long hair, it was only a matter of time before an improved form of waving process
appeared.
In order to make the hair perm, at first
some preparation is needed. Suppose someone has straight hair and s/he
wants to make their hair curly. S/he needs her hair quickly dried off and ironув and it
will be done. But no hair washing for two days.
Apart from that preparation, there should
be taken another step to use moisturizing conditioner after shampoo but
deep-conditioning of the hair is strictly prohibited for at least 24 hours as
using deep-conditioning may wipe out the perm. Moreover it may destroy the
whole process. So to make the hair perm you should follow these basic rules.
People make their hair perm as it
enhances the person's smartness and give him or her better look. But all hair
is not suitable for it. Hairs with thick, healthy, unbleached hair are the best
candidates to make it curling. On the other hand, weak or dry hair or hair that
is overly processed or dyed is not suitable. However, it takes 5 hours to make your hair permed to the end of the overall process. If the hair is very
thick, curly or long it can take up to 10 or 11 hours. A perm hair however
lasts about two to six months.
In the early 80s this perm hairstyle became
too much popular among the young people. After the 90s, the popularity of the
style had been diminished but now it has got back once again and the
enthusiastic fashion lover people have already taken this as their favorite
style. However new styles of hair might be adopted with the era but perm
hairstyle deserves the right to be the pioneer of all styles of hair.
