 Nail is the
horned part of the epidermis appearing as the plate and is on the dorsum of the
phalange bone of hands and toes. Nails have the protective function and prevent
the phalange bones from injuries. Apart from it, nails are the thing that attracts
attention in ladies, especially when they are well cared. Fingernails are not
difficult to care of unlike the toenails, especially the hallux if the nails
start growing inside.
Ingrown
nail or onychocryptosis, as it is called medically, is the pathology of nail
growth when the lateral parts of the nail plate grows in the soft tissues
surrounding the nail followed by strong pain, inflammations and edemas in the
problem area. The first sign of nail grown in the tissues is the pain in the toe
when walking, especially when wearing tight and narrow shoes. If no actions are
undertaken, the place of ingrowths inflames followed by pyorrhea (discharge of
pus) and bleeding. If you decide to cope with this problem independently
without consulting the medical personnel, it may bring to dramatic
consequences, and the point is that the ingrown nail cannot be cut merely, and
specific skills and knowledge are required to remove the ingrown part of the
nail, including the special tools.
The reasons
of the ingrown nail
The in-born
physiological adherence to ingrowing nails is rare in nature, and in most cases
the onychocryptosis is developed by the other reasons:

wrong care
of nails (deep and incorrect cut of nail plate)

platypodia
and other orthopedic diseases of feet

wearing of
tight and uncomfortable shoes
-
various diseases
(fungal, and also problems with metabolism, like diabetes mellitus)
-
non-qualified performance of pedicure.
Nail ingrown
may appear as a single case and on regular basis. If your nails ingrow regularly,
you have to pay a special attention to choosing the shoes for you, and opt for models
with the wide nose part, made of natural material, without heels or on small
platform, since such models do not create pressure to toes.
With the purpose
to avoid repetitive ingrowing of nails, you need to care of your nails and have
your nails pedicured by the qualified masters. When the nail plates ache, it is
required to treat these areas with some disinfectant, like iodine, chlorofilliptine
to avoid penetration of infection into the zones of ingrown nail. Once you decided
to get rid of this problem for ever, you'd better apply to the cosmetic centers
and clinics offering laser treatment.
The only effective
method to treat the ingrown nails without any relapse is the laser surgery. The
beamed flow of laser СО2
radiation is directly exposed the immediate reason (the lateral part of the
nail) and removes it without any pain, at the same time making the point of ingrowths
healthy, leaving soft tissues and nail base untouched. The rehabilitation period
after the ingrown nail is removed by the laser lasts three days, not longer,
and after you may wear your favorite shoes, and not to think of the risk to get
the nail ingrown again.
All methods
known earlier, including surgical removal of the whole nail plate, and so forth,
are painful, at first, and they do not ensure that the risk is minimized to

in movements because of pain and impossibility to wear the shoes s/he likes.
If the nail

Some tips to
avoid the ingrown nails:

try to wear
comfortable shoes that are not tight and squeeze nails. The fashionable shoes are
not comfortable, thus choose shoes subject to comfort not trends.

adhere to
the hygiene of feet to avoid fungus infection, wash feet regularly, never wear
shoes of other persons, do showers for feet, and always wear sandals or
flip-flops in saunas, swimming pool or bath houses.

of professional pedicurist, since the cases of independent cutting of nails and wrong shape of nails
sometimes may cause them in grow.
