The Cuban leader Fidel Castro, a revolutionary Che Gevara, politicians Winston Churchill and Bill Clinton, writers Somerset Maugham and Mark Twain, the actor and the political figure Arnold Schwarzenegger – these names are well-known and these figures are best known to the world for their political, social, literary and other achievements. Moreover, the abovementioned people highly esteem cigar smoking and, thus, they come as people who own the greatest number of tools and accessories so requisite for this leisurely process and among others there are cigar lighters.
In the light of a variety and availability of glass items, glass ware is still appreciated by plenty people, especially when it comes to cut glass. Wealthy persons are mostly known for their fortune only. However, despite they make billions, these people possess some personal features that attract people when estimating them. While Warren shovels up money, he has to do with quite conflicting image he created: he is known to be the proved miser and at the same time he privately donates huge amounts for charity purposes.
Unlike
other fur garments, mink fur coat has never been assigned to warm only in severe
frosty weather. Mink coat shows your social status, it is luxury, beauty which
shows that you belong to the elite. When mink coat came first in vogue it was worn
by aristocrats, movie stars or spouses of significant political persons. Over the
years the mink coat is affordable to many people annoying those who could wear it
due to their exclusivity. And now many people can be delighted with their fur coats
similar to ones of Hollywood celebrities.
Mink fur was
first used by European people in production of coats in the end of XIX century.
Later on mink was predominantly made in America. Currently mink is the most trendy
fur to be used widely for fur coats. Very rich and wealthy persons may afford choosing
full-length streaming down mink coats while less wealthy chooses something made
from mink from a short fur coat either a jacket to an original boa or finishing
material to other garment.
The fashion
and attitude to mink changed by time, however mink was much loved by those who
would wear it regularly and there were also people who envied only observing
but not wearing these coats. Designers considered functional aspects of mink
fur and it was widely used in other areas as well. Currently mink coat may be
designed as a full-length and fluffy coat with the hood and as a jacket. Yet, it
is available in different colors now: from natural colors for amateur of
classic and the most extravagant colors for audacious and brave people.
Choosing a
mink coat is not a simple step like just going shopping and getting it. No,
moreover, the mink coat is budgeted as a purchase of a car, and with the right
choice you have a chance to show off in this luxury garment for a longer time. And
here everything matters to consider, from the length needed, color of coat, quality
of fur, lining, and possible use of chemicals to manufacture and storage of
products. So, well, let's start from the very beginning. What do we do first?
We come to look at the fur coat and evaluate it visually. Mink fur is flowing, shining
and brilliant. Dull mink fur is the sign of the old fur either improperly stored.
Then we touch the fur and evaluate the fir itself. Naps should be soft, flexible
and similar in length and texture. If the cover is stuck and fur is rolled,
this is the sign of poor quality manufacture or poor raw material. Then we take a damp cloth and pass over the fur,
marks will say that the fur is poorly dyed. Pay attention to the skin of the
fur. If the label does not contain information on dying, then the skin should
be creamy beige. Darker skin tells about very old fur.
Thoroughly
examine the reverse side of the leather. A quality fur coat has nice, elastic
and silky leather. And once again, the seams. They should be smooth and even. Ignore
fur coats if the fur is glued to the leather.
Mink coats
come in various colors. Though, you will look more solid and elegant in classic
fur coats of dark-brown or beige colors, do not neglect other colors. A jacket
trimmed with white mink fur is very good for young girls while ladies would
better choose darker color of coats. What do you think of the beige undercoat
and darker top hair to give smoky color? It is interesting, just admit it. Black
sheared mink fur with violet tint is a luxury thing costing a fortune but it is
worth such money. It looks like velvet. It is warm for the thick down and
incredibly beautiful for the special fur.
The country
of origin is also an important criterion when choosing a coat. At present China
produces quite a good quality fur coats. Fur coats of American production are
far more expensive, though the most expensive is the coat manufactured in
Europe.
Cannot imagine a coat made by mink fur. You just think how many of "them" had to be kill to made 1 coat ? Is definitely not a luxury, is dead skin or fur on your body. YUCKS!!!! and you smell like mink.
For all against a mink or other fur coat:: how many baby gease does it take to make a down coat, pillow or comforter??? do you know what down is? go after all the down goods people are using/buying also if you hate using animals in clothing!!
It takes more than 60 minks to make a fur coat. They are raised in awful conditions and killed in even worse ways (i.e. skinned alive). Don't try to justify supporting this cruel industry by citing another. The meat industry is awful. The down industry is awful. When you wear your fur coat, remember what these animals have sacrificed for your fashion statement. I hope it disturbs you enough to stop wearing it.
Gabe you've obviously viewed too many PETA flyers or those custom produced videos to make a statement like that. Today's mink farmers are extremely responsible in their practices and humane in raising their stock. Between local and national regulating offices, the industry has become the most eco-friendly of any you'll find. The fur debate is lame.. let people make thier own informed decision whether to wear fur, sleep on down or whatever.
Don't try to justify supporting this cruel industry by citing another. When you wear your fur coat, remember what these animals have sacrificed for your fashion statement. I hope it disturbs you enough to stop wearing it.
Yes, stop wearing it, go to Siberia and rest in peace. How many minutes we will live without this fur in this cold contry?
The people that write these articles are surely mindless monsters. These animals are stripped of their skins alive, in agony few humans in existence have ever experienced. I just hope that the bad karma from a 60-mink coat gives it's owner everything she deserves in return. But even 60 skinnings wouldn't teach these idiots a lesson, I suspect.
Fur - and the intense agony caused to innocent animals - is one of humankinds very greatest crimes. The only justification, the vanity of the less intelligent part of society. What a waste of life.
Unless someone is being paid to make a movie for PETA, no one would attempt to skin a mink while it's still alive! Just like no one would attempt to skin a live cow or pluck a live chicken! I eat meat and chicken and fish and wear leather, sheepskin, wool, fur and silk. I stay away from pleather and polyester and wouldn't be caught dead (skined alive!) in fake fur!
get your head out of the sand Melissa..of course they skin the animals alive !! ...dogs, cats, rabbits etc etc. Just get on one of the websites that has a video taken in secret then tell me it is not done. Someone I know actually stayed very near where they commit this crime in one of the Asian countries and he said the screams of the animal will always haunt him...and he's not really an animal person. I can't even begin to imagine the type of monsterous being that could do this and sleep at night !!! STOP SUPPORTING THIS CRUEL PRACTICE !!
What kind of moron is going to skin an animal alive? PETA have been using the same footage for decades and its bullshit. Why are you going to skin an animal that has teeth alive? It makes no sense. Antis are just morons.
I will wear any fur, and noone can tell me otherwise.
you are a very sad person and you are in denial of the reality. just because you dont want to believe the disgusting truth doesn't mean you can have your nose in the air like a spolied bitch. Listen to yourself. PETA is an educational organization that would not lie. Come clean with yourself before you judge organizations for doing the right thing
of course, we love the animal, such as chicken, pig, cow, horse, rabbit, but why we eat this meat. now there are many farmer breed rabbit, cow, fox, mink, raccoon, and they are doing by law. if we do not wear down coat, fur garment, how can we live in the winter---cold days?????
I'm from Europe and have several fur coats and a jacket and several hats, that belonged to relatives and have been around for years. Personally I would never buy a new one now, but I don't see anything wrong with wearing a coat from years ago. Can't bring these animals back and the coats are still beautiful. We humans eat meat and if you ever saw a slauterhouse you would never eat meat again. Fur owners are being discriminated against. My favorite fur store in Munich has long been closed. As a child I loved looking at the beautiful coats throug the window because I was very poor and always dreamed of owning one. I am glad the exotic animals are nolonger very much in demand because we would have made all of them extinct.
I see nothing wrong however in wearing a coat that once belonged to someone from years ago.
How could you think wearing a mink coat is "fashinable" When 60 minks are killed for fashion? When a cotton coat or even cashmire keeps you warm? I think all of you need to realize how much torture these animals have to go through for your personal use. think again before you wear a fur coat. Please.
Lingerie for women was just the plain underwear until the 20th century when it became the mean self-expression, as the subject of esthetic admiration. A piece of lingerie seen in between the women wear looked quite shocking to be shame and no one thought of designing luxury items based on lingerie, leaving alone works of art. Today every woman dreams of having a pair, or even more, of luxury and high quality lingerie to associate with sexuality, sensibility and attraction with male.
Today the knitwear is presented in so many styles and
it is so popular that no single autumn and spring collections can do without
hosiery. Knit
women's coats are offered in classic, sporty, romantic, vintage, casual and
ethnic styles. The demand for knit coats
grows in line with the more increasing range of color and texture of woolen
yarn as merino wool, angora, alpaca, Kashmir. Globally known brands launch knit
coats for women in their latest collections and most celebrities today appear
wearing knitwear for many occasions and that's hard to picture that some time
back it was something different.
First established in 1860, Chopard is one of the reputed watch and jewelry houses producing incredibly beautiful, fascinating jewelry items and watches of dream. The house also launched a number of celebrated fragrances as Casmir, Wish, Madness and Infiniment. Despite the long and solid history of the brand, it appeared only recently in the market of fragrances with the first fragrance Chopard launched only in 1992. Six years later, in 1996, the Chopard House presented its Mira-Bai, the fragrance which is still in favor among women keen on oriental scents. Mira-Bai shows no intentions to compete with such a fashion-setter in the sphere of oriental compositions as Guerlain Shalimar, though the fragrance by Chopard takes its niche among the classic perfumes in the market of oriental perfume.
Perfume launched y the Japanese brands or the one inspired by the Japanese culture is something so special in the international market of perfume. Unlike the other fragrances produced in bulk, such perfume with the traces of Japanese inspiration and life surely exert attention and this is reasonable: it is not only the perfume to market and ear money but the whole philosophy, covert but absolute. So, most perfume launched by the famous Japanese culture followers take their niches in the global market, like Kenzo and Issey Miyake. Issey Miyake launched the genially iconic fragrance of the 90s with such a simple and unpretentious name as Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey.
