Carla Bruni-Sarkozy – First in All She Does

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy (born Carla Gilberta Bruni Tedeschi) is an Italian-born French songwriter, singer, and former model. She was more known as the model in other countries but France until she married to the President of the French Republic and has become the First Lady since February 2008. Sometime ago Carla was named as the European mantid with the smile of a Terminator by the French novelist Justine Lévy, daughter of philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy.  Justine was anxious and upset about the fact that the eccentric Carla broke her marriage with the TV host, a professor of French philosophy Raphael Enthoven, who was ten years younger than her.

Audrey Hepburn – Lady By Birth and Nature

There are cases when the person comes from the aristocratic family though their actions and life style have nothing to do with the elite refinement. And on the contrary, people whose ancestors come from medium class or even the marginal but the person proves to belong to the high class of the society with all they do and feel. And again, we face people who are lucky enough to be born to the reputed and ancient nobility and who appear to be the genuine aristocrats. They treat evenly favorably to people from various levels of society. They are willing to give a hand to those who are in need and act as the model of worthy behavior to follow. Yet, we are blessed to enjoy such a talented and unique actress and a beautiful woman as Audrey Hepburn.

Organic Beauty Products

Saturday, 03 April 2010

organic beauty productsIn addition to being a beauty trend, organic skincare is really effective and pleasant to use. Obviously, organic skincare products are not your «Grandma» home remedies containing two or three ingredients. This is a result of some serious and extensive research. But don't be intimidated by the chemical components in the organic cosmetics formula, as their active ingredients are extracts of plants and fruit free of any harmful fertilizers. What's more, research safeguards us from all sorts of problems and risks associated with allergic reactions, and ultimately it is synthetic compounds that preserve cosmetics for our use. Organic skincare manufacturers avoid animal testing and try to replace synthetic ingredients with natural ones.

For instance, an American brand Light Organic uses a number of safe and healthy preservatives in their products, including vitamin E, carrot seed oil, rosemary and jojoba. By the way, all their creams are prepared manually.

Another organic cosmetics brand, Patyka, a French luxury line of skincare and fragrance products, has a similar policy and even introduced a perfume with 25% natural essence content as compared to 10-15% content in traditional fragrances, and organic wheat-based alcohol that does not prevent the fragrance to gradually change and unfold throughout the day. A British brand Organic Apoteke has invented the organic perfume with zero alcohol content and perfume agents. In addition, the brand also offers everything you need for body and face care. The effect of their skincare products is based on the Ayurveda principles and use of non-toxic ingredients.

There are some plants that are so good for you that a brand is created to celebrate them, as it is the case with Ojon, a company devoted to making hair repair products. Ojon is a walnut essential oil, which was used by the Indians in the pre-Columbian times. Today, the Indians extract the oil and cultivate those wonderful chestnut trees. The raw material is sent to Italy, where it's used for the manufacture of hair masks, sprays, shampoos, conditioners and other hair care products (the range includes 12 products).

Exotic ingredients and ancient traditions have inspired the founders of the Jamu brand to create cosmetics based on the traditional Indonesian and Balinese recipes containing spices, fruits and herbs. The Jamu products are well suited for SPA-procedures, which can be taken as another proof of their effectiveness.

Another great advantage of organic cosmetics lies in the fact that they can be consumed orally. The organic beauty line of a French brand H.I.P. includes a toner, which can be added to beverages to enhance vitality. H.I.P. advocates the «overall beauty concept» and accordingly the brand has two beauty ranges: Arc-en-ciel (face and body care) and HIP Hair. Only natural active ingredients such as essential oils, vitamins and rare herbal extracts are used to create all their products.

The ground rule of an Australian brand Aesop, like that of the majority of organic cosmetics brands, is to ensure effective skin care using only the natural products and ingredients. The brand produces everything you need for body, hair and skin care. Remarkably, the Aesop beauty line includes products formulated to solve the problems of the sensitive skin, like Camellia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream, a moisturizing cream with chamomile, sandalwood and rosemary extracts, and intensive nourishment and hydration of the very dry skin, like Damascan Rose Facial Treatment, a serum with rose oil and vitamins.

Organic skincare products are created not only by small niche brands, but also by the major players. Last fall, Yves Saint Laurent announced the launch of the organic cosmetics line Care by Stella McCartney, inspired by the brand designer Stella McCartney, a well-known advocate for vegetarianism and a champion of the «eco-friendly» life. The McCartney cosmetics range supports this philosophy: the products do not contain animal ingredients, synthetic preservatives or silicone. The line includes eight most essential products: moisturizing cream, make-up remover, toning lotion, anti-age serum, etc. As the main active ingredients for this range, YSL used mallow, green tea, grape seed oil, linseed, soy bean, and rose oil. In addition, all products will be marketed as «unisex».

Probably, many of us already know Fresh Line, a Greek luxury beauty brand which sells face masks, fruit soap and strawberry bath jelly by weight. And no one leaves Lush, Grabtree Evelyn and L`Occitane stores without a fragrant scrub, massage oils or flower-based body cream.

In addition to the natural advantages of the organic cosmetics, there are more pros, such as beautiful packaging and attractive design. Moreover, organic beauty products often have a delicious aroma. Essential oils are known to prepare the skin for the active ingredients contained in the organic cosmetics.
