Yes, the suit by Dior symbolizes the romance and delicacy and Chanel advocates for the stringency of lines and elegance as the style of the real lady. The suit by Chanel is a skirt and a jacket that distinguish with their hem (fringing), buttons and pockets. The traditional suit by Chanel is always made from tweed.

One of the most significant conditions for women of those times was the accessories that were a must-have for every woman for every occasion.

A rounded hat, a string of pearl necklace, short or long gloves, ballet shoes and a bag, all of small sizes, delicate and elegant, quiet and stylish to create the image of a business woman or a romantic lady. The most essential accessory of the fashion of 50s is the wide belt that makes the waist thinner and more ideal.

The trendy patterns were polka dot, stripes and chess in the shades of black, brown, white and grey, as well as pink with grey delighted by Dior.

The hairdo was done fluffy also and combed a little bit backward to show off with round earrings-clips often worn along with the brooch, beads or a pendant.

Ballet shoes were the element of wear of the real elegant and delicate lady who observes the trends and tendencies but who does not chase the fashion.

The followers of the new look style by Dior were delighted with the heel heels that completed the perfect image and perfectly matching the fluffy skirt.

New Look style was favored by almost all fashion houses like Pierre Cardin, Nina Ricci, Givenchy, Lanvin and others.

The hairdo of the 50s was presented in a variety liked by many women, long and short, combed back and wavy. Grace Kelly demonstrated short hair in wonderful waves, Audrey Hepburn symbolized the style « garçon», Brigitte Bardot set the trend «babetta», a fluffy hairdo but Marilyn Monroe and Jean Harlow were leaders for blonde fashion.

The fashion of the 50s is the symbol of elegance, chic and strict stringency and flourishing femininity and romanticism at the same time. The decade was also marked with the conflict of two fashion designer – Coco Chanel and Christian Dior who tried to realize the concept of femininity. What a new woman should be? Where does she go out and which accessories does she like to compliment the image? All these questions were replied so soon and currently we are lucky to look back in the times of the 50s and remember the wonderful time and the incredible image of the woman.
